Cariflex Logo Explained
The intricacies of this easily recognisable brand

1) The lettering is done similarly to the existing logo but modernised via the elongated 'C'; thickened verticals throughout all letter formations and clarified 'ri' formation.

2) The entire logo is given an italic slant in order to convey a sense of the rapidity with which Cariflex is capable of operating. The registration mark has been updated to better conform with the rapidity slant. The tagline, 'LEADERS IN PRINT' is made to fit larger in relation to the logo itself and is also better integrated. The accompanying symbol, being difficult to recognise from a distance has been replaced. This results in a more pleasing overall shape and therefore a greater probability of instant recognition.

3) The 'flex' is more curvaceous here than in the existing logo. It incorporates in the 'e' an unwinding roll, symbolic of the flexographic line of printing. At the heart of the 'e' lies an eye, a reference to Cariflex's vision and 'eye' for quality, precision, colour, design and cost effectiveness. The 'X' has been made to form the remainder of the flexo roll from the 'e' as well as two sheets of paper being fanned.
