This is the place where divine design takes place to transform figments of your imagination into fully realised designs for printed products. At the Cariflex Design Studio we take your knowledge of your business and products combine it with styles that appeal to the target market and give you designs that help you get real results. We can take you from logos for your company all the way to print designs for your products and related advertising for such.

Advertising Agencies, Print Brokers and Production Houses will appreciate us as a Service Bureau. In addition to our in-house production we produce negative and positive film, photopolymer plates, colour proofs and artwork for any external customer or reseller. For in-house printing work we can also prepare externally supplied artwork for printing a.k.a. prepress production.

We currently receive artwork in Macintosh format using: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Pagemaker, QuarkXpress, Corel Draw and Macromedia Freehand. Save artwork on CD, DVD or send files via Email.

Film can be output up to 32"x42" @ 175lpi.

Cariflex Printery–

At the main printery the real action happens. We offer two major types of printing– offset and flexographic. The photo above is of our brand new 5 color Mitsubishi 1F Sheetfed Offset Printing Press. It is but one of our many offset printing machines capable of rich, full color, high resolution printing with remarkable speed and accuracy.

Broadsheet OFFSET Print (Image Area) Sizes:
• 18"x24" @ 133lpi, 1 color
• 18"x24" @ 133lpi, 5 color
• 25"x38" @ 133lpi, 6 color
• 32"x42" @ 133lpi, 4 color
• 20"x27" @ 200lpi, 5 color
The second type of printing that we offer is known as flexographic printing. The main end products here are Labels and Frozen Food Board backings. In the flexo printing process rubber-like photopolymer plates are used, similar to those used to make rubber stamps for offices. This however is a much more evolved process capable of printing tones, gradients and solid colors.

We also offer top quality Ultra-Violet cured inks that are capable of instant drying once cured. Our UV equipped machines are capable of printing up to 7 colors at a time, giving you an additional 2 colors + high gloss UV varnish beyond the 4 needed for full color process (CMYK) printing. As shown in the picture our UV machines can die cut and strip labels instantly after printing. We can supply Labels in rolls or optionally as cut and stacked mini sheets.
